My Story
I am motivated by the positive attitude of others. I have a drive to motivate and encourage people to shoot for greatness and not to settle for less. I get excited seeing the smile on the face of people when they feel inspired by something I've said.
I have 12 brothers and sisters. I married my High School sweetheart Patricia Johnson Sheats. We have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. They are the joy of my heart and the motivation for all I do.
My encounter with motivation came at the age of 10 when my dad inspired me to work hard. He didn't allow a lot of time for playing. We lived on a farm where my many chores included: Feeding the chickens, Gathering eggs, Working in the garden, Picking cotton, and "Slopping" the hogs.
I remember my dad and I building a little store in our yard. I sold cookies, candies, drinks to the neighborhood kids. When I entered High School I began to think about my future career. I had plenty of ideas but I did not ACT on them.
I later learned that ideas are nothing without being motivated to take ACTION. It was during my senior year that I decided to enroll at The Griffin Barber College in Atlanta, GA.
After completing course work there I returned to Athens, Ga to work at my Brother Herman's BarberShop.
I adopted the motto: Let Dewey Do It !
In conclusion, I appreciate your time getting to know more about me. If I can assist you in any way don't hesitate to contact me.
I feel Super Super Super ! I also feel like I wanna holler, and sometimes I feel like doing a flip !
